Dr Fischer received her DVM degree from New York State College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell in 1991. Dr. Fischer has a special interest in internal medicine cases and soft tissue surgery.
She and her husband adopted their daughter from China in November 2008.
Other members of her family include her schnauzer Beatrice and her Dutch Warmblood horse Triumph.
Dr. Fischer and Triumph compete in dressage, jumping and beginning eventing. Triumph is often used at local Pony Club Meetings to teach the young riders horse anatomy and how to care for their own horses.
Dr. Helen Roberts :
Dr Roberts is a 1990 graduate of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. She has a special interest in small animal surgery and exotic pet medicine and surgery. She also treats pet fish patients and owns Aquatic Veterinary Services of WNY. She is very active in community activities including public health work for Erie County and is the co-leader of the Veterinary Sector of the regional Specialized Medical Assistance Response Team (SMART), a multi-medical discipline team for disaster response.
Dr Roberts also lectures internationally on aquatic animal medicine and surgery, is a consultant for the Veterinary Information Network (VIN), and teaches courses on pharmacology and zoonotic diseases for VetMedTeam.
She is the editor and co-author of a new book, "Fundamentals of Ornamental Fish Health" published by Wiley-Blackwell (November 2009).
Jill Patti is a native of western New York. She recieved her undergraduate degree in biology at Canisius College and her veterinary degree from Cornell
University. She has been a co-chair of the WNYVMA Ethics Committee since 2006 and served as a WNYVMA board member from 1999-2001. Dr. Patti has a special interest in internal medicine.
She lives in Elma with her husband and three children, her poodle Autumn, and 2 parakeets, Stanley and Paul.
Hobbies include jogging, tennis and gardening.
